1. HISTORY
The Government RSRM Lying in hospital was started in 1914 after Raja Sir SavalaiRamasamyMudaliyar who was moved by a pregnant lady delivering shielded by sarees.
Later the hospital was under taken by the Tamil Nādu government after which the bed count was increased from 74 to 166.Currently our bed strength is 610.
This hospital is now delivering more than 1 lakh children in a decade.
From 2020, this hospital has hosted 31567 deliveries upto 2022
