The Outpatient Department functions at No.29 in the ground floor of the new specialty block under construction. The in-patient neurosurgical wards are located at the fifth floor of the eight storied New Surgical Block and the ten bedded Neuro ICU functions from the third floor. Elective neurosurgical procedures are being done at the second floor of the same building. The Operation theatre is equipped with C-arm, Neuro endoscope, Microscope and Neuromonitoring facilities to assist skilful performance of surgeries of brain and spine. With five elective OT days a week, not less than 600 surgeries are performed annually with good outcome.
The Neuro ICU provides comprehensive care by trained nursing staff for post-operative patients and patients with craniospinal trauma. Ventilatory assistance, ICP monitoring, bronchoscopy, limb and chest physiotherapy are some of the facilities available.
